Bylaws of the Haralson County Historical Society -- Amendments
Recommendations for changes in by-laws:
We confirm and records previous change of the by-laws made in May 2000, to provide for a co-president in the revised by-laws, and that Article III be revised to provide that the co-president shall assume the duties of the president in the event of absence.
That we provide for the position of assistant-treasurer to assist the treasurer and to provide the needed financial reports, including those needed for grant applications, etc.
That in order to broaden the base of support we provide for an additional vice-president whose selection will be consistent with the selection process for other officers, and whose specific duties will be defined by the executive board.
That in order to attract greater support, we add an additional class of membership to be known as HERTIAGE CLUB MEMBERSHIP.
Further, that these changes be tentatively approved at the May meeting, and be considered for approval as the first order of business in the June meeting prior to the election of officers.
The above changes in our by-laws were approved in the June 2002 meeting.
